 13 Year Old Head Coach - Mike Buswell
  • Graduated from Trumbull High School in 2000
  • As a 12 year old player helped lead Trumbull National captured 1994 State Championship.
  • As a player for Trumbull Babe Ruth captured 3 State Championships starting as a 13 year old in 1995, a 14 year old in 1996, and as a 16 year old in 1998. All three State Championship teams advanced to the Babe Ruth World Series.
  • Participated in Baseball, Basketball and Football at Trumbull High.

13 Year Old Assistant Coach - Steve Permar
  • Shelton High School graduate 2003
  • Played baseball for the Gaels. 
  • Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Albertus Magnus College, earning a B.A degree in Accounting. 
  • Pitcher for the Albertus Magnus College baseball team from 2004-2007. 
  • Masters in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting from Albertus Magnus College in 2009.
  • Coached in the Trumbull Babe Ruth travel/all star program since 2008 as an assistant to Coach Komaromi.
  • Assistant coach for the Trumbull 15 Babe Ruth team that won the 2011 District, State and New England Championships, and was ranked 3rd nationally.
  • Steve is currently a Staff Accountant at Lincoln College of New England in Southington, CT.
13 Year Old Assistant Coach -  Jack McFarland
  • Led Staples High School to the FCIAC Baseball Championship game in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2011. 
  • The Wreckers won the FCIAC Championships in 2008, 2009 and 2011
  •  2009 FCIAC Baseball Coach of the Year
  • 2011 Coaching Award from the Westport Sportsmen. 
  • Assistant coach for the Trumbull 15 Babe Ruth team that won the 2011 District, State and New England Championships, and was ranked 3rd nationally.
  • Since his arrival at Staples in 2005 the baseball program numerous players earn All-League, All-Area and All-State recognition
  • Major initiative was accomplished in 2009 with the renovation of the Staples Baseball Field which included new dugouts, new infield, underground drainage system, and an outdoor batting cage.
  • Assistant coach for the Staples Football program since 1995
  • 2004 CHSCA Assistant Coach of the Year.
  • Currently an Assistant Dean at Staples.
  • Resides in Monroe with his wife Norma; 4 daughters-14 year old twins Kelly and Kenzie, 10 year old Megan and Abby who just turned 5.
14 Year Old Head Coach - Jeffrey John
  • Trumbull High School graduate 2010
  • Three year starter in Football and Baseball. Team Captain in both sports.
  • All FCIAC West baseball team in 2010
  • Junior at Western Connecticut State University majoring in political science with an eye on a possible law degree.
  • Plays baseball at Western Connecticut and was voted 2011 Rookie of The Year while maintaining a 3.5 grade point average.
  • Lifelong Trumbull resident started his sports career playing both Pop Warner football (regional finals) and Little League baseball, continuing in Babe Ruth and American Legion
  • American Legion State Champion and Regional Runner Up in 2007
  • Continues to play baseball each summer in the Senior City League for Fedell's (World Series participants 2011) and Barons, a college player travel team.
  • Since 2010 has coached Babe Ruth travel/all stars
  • Under Manager Mike Buswell guided team to 14 year old State Championship game in 2010
  • Teamed up with Coach Buswell and Coach McFarland in 2011 to help guide the 15 year old All Star Team State and New England Championship Titles advancing and finishing in 3rd place at The Babe Ruth World Series in Jamestown, NY

  • Graduated from Trumbull High School in 1983.
  • Participated in Basketball and Baseball while at Trumbull High.
  • Graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in 1988 majoring in Business.
  • Played baseball at Eastern Connecticut
  • Over 30 years of coaching experience at varies levels in Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Soccer.
  • Out of college- Coached a Trumbull team in the Stamford Twilight League

  • 1st Team All-Area in 2008, led county with .556 BA
  • 1ST Team All Red Division 08-09 in HS
  • Played 4 different varsity sports in HS (Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer)
  • Member of the 2005 Piscataway High State Championship Football Team
  • Played baseball at Erskine College 2009-2011
  • Played on Fedell’s Mechanics of Trumbull in the Bridgeport Senior City League

  • Graduated from Shelton High School in 2007.
  • Participated in Baseball and Basketball in High School.
  • Captain of the baseball team during his senior year.
  • All SCC honors during 2007 season.
  • Played 4 years of Shelton Senior Legion
  • Lead Shelton Legion to a state runner up finish in 2007 State Legion Tournament.
  • Three time Dream Dozen selection for during Shelton Legion Career.
  • Pitched for Central Connecticut Blue Devils from 2007-2011.
  • Pitched Central Connecticut to an impressive 7-3 victory over nationally ranked #15 UCONN.
  • Pitched Central Connecticut to a victory over Sacred Heart in Semifinals of NEC Tournament.
